Paula Red
- Origin: 1960, Michigan. A popular early season apple with subtle strawberry flavor. Firm white flesh makes it good for both eating and cooking.
Saint Edmond's Pippin
- Origin: Late 1800s, United Kingdom. An early season gold colored russet apple with a sweet and juicy pear like flavor. A good eating and cider apple.
Esopus Spitzenburg
- Origin: Before 1790, New York. Thomas Jefferson's favorite, this small, crisp, red apple has a unique flavor most apples cannot match. And it gets even better in storage!
Northern Spy
- Origin: 1800s, New York. A sweet, fruity flavor with nice acidity makes this crisp apple a great all purpose variety -- for eating, pies, sauce, and cider.
Zabergau Reinette
- Origin: Early 1800s, Germany / Belgium. A bronzed russet apple with a sharp flavor that leaves a sweet yet nutty flavor in your palate.
Macoun
- Origin: 1923, New York. A very sweet apple with small hints of strawberry flavoring. Cross between McIntosh and Jersey Black gives it its dark colored skin.

- Origin: 1500's, France. A large attractive apple that has been popular in America since Colonial times. A highly desirable dessert apple with fine, crisp juicy flesh.
